Vidin

Vidin is our home town and we like where it is located, how it looks, what it is and want to invite you to visit and see for yourself. Like every port town Vidin is shaped after the river and has its own special places and beauties.  The town center is compact and merges with the river park, which is where you will find nice cafés and a few good restaurants. If you like sightseeing, there are a couple of unique sights to see. The medieval fortress Baba Vida truly stands out, but even the abandoned, unrestored sights like the Synagogue can impress many. Apart from sights and places of interest Vidin is just a beautiful place to visit. A walk along the river, from the Cycling track all the way through the river park, and further on to the old ferry can take you hours as there are many place to stop by and see. Vidin is a high spirit, lively place, but ugly regional policy for nearly 3 decades deprived it from rapid economic development. The town still suffers from high unemployment rates, but things are getting better, and the river by the river. More than 400 cruise ships with foreign tourists embark a year, and more and more Bulgarians pay a visit.
